Kelsey

Kelsey and her mother came to me with a gown from the early 1980s. It was important to them to be able to use their vintage heirloom gown. Kelsey was taller than her mother and the gown was too short for her to wear. She also wanted a more modern design. I restored the bodice and redesigned it with new sleeves, using the materials from the original sleeves. I created a new skirt that was to the required length. Taking great care I created a new gown built from the original materials, that fit both a modern design as well as fit the bride. My new custom version delighted them both. This family was so fun to work with. They were enthusiastic about the process and were excited at each new phase. The final dress was over and above what they had hoped for. The happy marriage that was represented in this gown was present in the new gown. This wonderful love flowed into the new marriage being established.
